LoJack® System Helps DeKalb County Police Air Unit Recover Stolen 2016 Jeep Patriot / Four Arrest

The owners of 2016 Dodge Patriot contacted the DeKalb County Police to report that their vehicle was stolen during the night while they were at home asleep.

DeKalb County police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Patriot.

A short while later DeKalb County Police Air unit picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jeep with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft .

By following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the pilot tracked the vehicle to a restaurant parking lot and with the assistance of officers on the ground four people that were in the stolen Jeep was arrested and charged for the theft of the jeep and were taken to the city jail on charges.

The vehicle was towed to a local towing service until the owner could be notified of the recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in Jeep in April 2016 at Thorton Road Chrysler / Dodge / Ram.
