The owners of a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of a large retail outlet store while they were inside shopping. When they returned to the parking lot the vehicle was missing. Houston police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Camaro.

Fifteen (15) minutes later officers from the Houston Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet Camera with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment parking lot where it was parked and abandoned. The vehicle was released to the owner on scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Camaro in June 2010 at Classic Chevrolet – Sugar Land, Sugar Land, TX.
