The owners of a 2006 Honda Civic contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence during the overnight period. Houston Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Civic.

Fifteen (15) minutes after the vehicle information was entered into the stolen vehicle file officers from the Houston police department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda Civic with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex where the vehicle was parked and abandoned. Officer from the TACT squad set up surveillance for a period of time. When no activity occurred officers processed the vehicle and released it back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in September 2006 at Goodson Honda/North-UAG, Houston, TX.
