The owner of a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt contacted the Garland Police Dept to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner had taken his vehicle to a repair shop and during the night the repair shop was burglarized and his vehicle was stolen.
The Garland Police Dept verified the burglary and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Cobalt.

Forty five minutes later, officers from the Dallas Police Dept picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet Cobalt with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Chevrolet Cobalt to the 6000 block of Belmont Avenue, where they found it abandoned on the street. This vehicle was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Cobalt in April of 2005 at Stonebriar Chevrolet in Frisco, TX.
