The owners of a 2016 Chrysler 200 contacted the Clayton County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a shopping mall while he and his family were shopping.

The Clayton County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler 200.

A short while later pilots with the Clayton County PD helicopter unit picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the pilot tracked the Chrysler to a shopping center.  The Chrysler was spotted and with the assistance of a patrol unit the vehicle was found abandoned in a nearby apartment complex in good condition.  A detective was called to the scene for processing of the stolen Chrysler and possible arrest.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler 200 in January 2016 at Hayes Chrysler Plymouth in Duluth, Georgia.
