The owner of the Jeep Wrangler parked it on the street where she normally parks it. Apparently when she parked her Jeep she dropped her keys to the vehicle. When she came out for the Jeep the next day she found it missing, as well as her keys to the vehicle. This was in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn, confines of the 61 precinct; she immediately reported the theft to the precinct. When the New York Police Department officers arrived they took a written report.  This information was then entered by the NYPD in the city, state and federal crime computer which automatically and seamlessly activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Jeep.

A short while later the silent LoJack signal was picked up by officers of the 63 precinct, this was in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, confines of the 63 precinct. They tracked the signal through various streets in Flatbush; eventually the signal led them to a residential area. The officers observed the Jeep parked on a residential street. They staked the Jeep out for a short while, however when no came for the vehicle they took it into custody. The Jeep was recovered in excellent condition.

The owner was contacted and she was elated that her Jeep was recovered so quickly and with no damage. Stating that she was happy that her Jeep was equipped with the LoJack® System when she purchased it.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Jeep Wrangler in March 2015 at Kings Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Brooklyn, New York.
