The owners of a 2014 Ford F150 pickup contacted the San Antonio Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway of their residence sometime during the previous night.  They parked the Ford in the driveway around 10 PM and when they checked the next morning it was missing.  A theft report was made, verified by the San Antonio PD and the theft information was entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

A short while later officers from the San Antonio PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Ford to a large shopping mall on I-35 North where the vehicle was parked and abandoned. The Ford was processed for prints prior to releasing back to the grateful owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F150 in March 2015 at Crown Ford in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
