The owner of a 2002 Chrysler Sebring contacted the Baltimore County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of 8700 Liberty Road in the Woodlawn area of Baltimore County, Maryland. The Baltimore County PD Radio dispatched an officer from Precinct 2 to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the Chrysler. When the officer was unable to locate the Chrysler a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2002 Chrysler Sebring.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2002 Chrysler Sebring with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chrysler to the area of 2300 E Chase Street in Baltimore City, Maryland. At this location, officers observed the Chrysler being operated by the theft suspects. Officers conducted a felony vehicle stop and placed the operator under arrest for stolen auto. The undamaged Chrysler was then recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2002 Chrysler Sebring in November 2002 at Ourisman’s Inc. in Clarksville, Maryland.
