The owners of a Lexus 300 contacted the El Cajon Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of El Cajon.

The El Cajon PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

At a later time, officers from the El Cajon PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to the 500 block of North Magnolia Ave in El Cajon.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus 300 in April 2005 at Lexus Kearny Mesa in San Diego, California.
