The owner of a 2015 Toyota Corolla contacted the Concord Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated they discovered the Toyota missing from a public parking lot in the 2000 block of Diamond Blvd.

The Concord PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short time later, officers from the Concord PD were directed by the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) which are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Toyota to a parking lot of a condominium complex at 1220 Concord Avenue where they found the vehicle abandoned.

The Toyota was recovered and released to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in May 2015 at Toyota of Vallejo in California.
