The owner of this Cadillac Deville was in eastern Washington for two days when his car was stolen from South 38th Street and South “D” Street in Tacoma.
When he returned and discovered the Cadillac was missing it was reported to the Tacoma Police Department who verified the information and entered it into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.
Less than one hour after the LoJack was activated, a DuPont Police Department officer equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) received the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac. He quickly tracked the Cadillac to a motel parking lot located in the 8800 block of South Hosmer in Tacoma. The Tacoma PD responded and handled the recovery.
There was no apparent damage.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac Deville in January 2001 at ANC National in Sacramento, California.
