The owner of a 2015 Jeep Compass contacted the Guttenberg Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. The customer told the police that she left her Jeep running while she ran into a store and when she came back her car was gone.

The Guttenberg PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jeep Compass.

A short while later, officers from the West New York Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Jeep with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Jeep to Bergenline Ave in West New York where the vehicle was recovered parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Jeep Compass in November 2015 at Hudson Chrysler Jeep Dodge in New Jersey.
