The owners of a 2008 Ford Focus contacted the San Antonio Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential driveway sometime during the previous night.

The San Antonio PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford Focus.

A short while later officers from the San Antonio PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford Focus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to 300 block of North Santa Rosa in San Antonio where they located the vehicle parked and abandoned. The Ford was processed for prints and released back to the grateful owner. Thanks to LoJack the quick track and recovery of the Ford resulted in only minor damage.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Focus in June 2008 at McCombs Ford West in San Antonio, Texas.
