The owner of a 2007 Nissan Maxima contacted the Newark Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen sometime during the night from their driveway in the City of Newark.

The Newark PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan Maxima.

A short while later, officers from the Irvington Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to Stratford Place in the City of Irvington where the vehicle was recovered abandoned.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Nissan Maxima in September 2007 at Route 22 Nissan in Hillside, New Jersey.
