The owner of a 2003 Land Rover Range Rover called the Santa Fe Police Department to report his vehicle was stolen.  The Santa Fe PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Land Rover.

A short while later after the activation an officer with the Santa Fe PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Land Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  The Land Rover was tracked to a side street in the area of Cerrillos Road and St Michaels Drive.  Additional officers arrived on scene to assist in clearing the Land Rover to determine if it was occupied or not and it was found to be unoccupied.

The Land Rover was recovered and released back to the relieved owner at the recovery scene.
