This Dodge Durango was stolen sometime over a two-day period while the owner was away from his residence located in the 10500 block of SE 86th Avenue in Happy Valley. When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Later that evening, a Portland Police Department officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Dodge to the 5100 block of SE 101st Avenue in Portland. It was abandoned and apparently undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Dodge Durango in August 2004 at Tacoma Dodge in Washington.
