This Acura TL was stolen just after midnight from the owner’s residence located in the 6800 block of SE Ash in Portland. When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Portland Police Bureau who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

Just than one hour later, the Portland PB officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Acura with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, they tracked the Acura to SE Ash & SE 62nd, a few blocks from the theft location. It was abandoned and apparently undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Acura TL in August 2005 at Ron Tonkin Acura in Portland, Oregon.
