The owners of a Honda Accord contacted the West Valley Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later officers with the Salt Lake City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked and located the Honda in the 1600 block West and 900 block South. Persons contacted with the Honda claim to have bought the car but had no documentation to support their claim. The investigation continues. The Honda was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in 1995 at Carr’s Honda in Chicago, Illinois.
