The owner of a 2009 Toyota Corolla contacted the Paterson Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his driveway in the City of Paterson.

The Paterson PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Corolla.

A short while later, officers from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to North 2nd Street, in the City of Paterson, where the Toyota was found parked. The Toyota was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2009 Toyota Corolla in July 2008 at Hudson Toyota in Jersey City, New Jersey.
