The owners of a 2016 Toyota Prius contacted the Cobb County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a parking lot while she was at work.

The Cobb County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota. A short while later officers from the Cobb County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to an apartment complex in another area of Cobb County where it was found abandoned and in good condition.

A Cobb County PD detective was called to the scene for possible arrest.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2016 Toyota Prius in February 2016 at Atlanta Toyota in Georgia.
