The owners of a Ford Ranger pickup truck contacted the Pueblo Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen in the evening.

A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Just minutes later officers with the Pueblo PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the 3900 block of Thatcher Avenue and arrested two juvenile suspects.

The stolen Ranger was recovered undamaged and was released on-scene to the very happy owners who were called to the recovery location to take possession of their pickup truck.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Ranger in August 2006 at Bill Utter Ford in Denton, Texas.
