The owner of a 2005 Porsche Cayenne contacted the Arlington Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. The owner parked her Porsche in an apartment parking lot and when she returned to it she found it missing.

The Arlington PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Porsche.

Later, officers from the Arlington PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Porsche with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Porsche to the 2700 block of St George, where they found it parked on the street.  It was recovered in good condition.  Officers are checking the video from the apartment complex parking lot to see if a suspect can be identified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Porsche Cayenne in February 2008 at Davis Chevrolet in Houston, Texas.
