The owners of a Jeep Cherokee contacted the Denver Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.

A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jeep.

A short while later officers with the Denver PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jeep with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTCs, the officers tracked the Jeep to 5000 East 33rd Avenue and contacted the vehicle. One suspect was arrested for Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft.
The Jeep was recovered in good condition and returned to the very happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jeep Cherokee in September 2007 at Lithia Chrysler Jeep in Aurora, Colorado.
