The owners of a Scion XB contacted the Aurora Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.

A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Scion.

Less than an hour later police officers with the Commerce City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Scion with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Scion to the area of 88th Avenue and Xenia Street where the vehicle was found locked and unoccupied. It was towed and returned to the very happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Scion XB in February 2014 at Mountain States Toyota in Denver, Colorado.
