The owners of a 2008 Lexus RX400 contacted the New Orleans Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen late that night. The owner report that they parked in front of convenience store located in Gentilly and ran inside to make a purchase leaving the Lexus with the keys inside. Upon exiting the store they found the Lexus had been stolen.

40 minutes later officers from the New Orleans PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to New Orleans East where a felony stop was conducted on the Lexus which resulted in the driver being placed under arrest.

The suspect was charged with theft and possession of the stolen Lexus.  The Lexus which was recovered in great shape was placed in a storage yard until the owner could pick it up.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus RX400 in April 2009 at Price LeBlanc Lexus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
