The owners of 2004 Dodge Stratus contacted the Massachusetts State Police Danvers Barracks to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The Massachusetts State Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge Stratus.

A short while later troopers from the Logan Airport Barracks picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the Dodge and recovered it.

The time lapse from reporting the stolen Dodge to recovery was less than four hours.

The LoJack ®System was installed in the Dodge Stratus in August 2004 at Herb Chambers Dodge in Danvers, Massachusetts.
