The owners of a 2006 Nissan Maxima contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence.
The Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from the Glendale Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the area of 73rd Drive and west Frier Drive in Glendale.

The Nissan was located unoccupied on a side street in an industrial park. No suspects were observed with or near the Nissan. The Glendale PD officers recovered the stolen Nissan and processed it for evidence. The Nissan was later returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Maxima in February 2008 by Direct Sales.
