The owner of a 2006 Toyota Tundra contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence in the city of San Diego.
The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a residential neighborhood located in the 500 block of 62nd Street in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in January 2006 at Centennial Toyota in Las Vegas, Nevada.
