The owner of a 2007 Dodge Charger contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen. The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Approximately ten minutes after the activation, officers with the Las Vegas Metro PD and troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the trooper tracked the Dodge and found it unoccupied. The Dodge was towed from the scene for safekeeping and will be released back to the owner at a later time.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Charger in January 2007 at Towbin Dodge in Henderson, Nevada.
