The owner of a 2014 BMW 328i 4-door sedan discovered their car missing from their home. They contacted the West Palm Beach Police Department to report their vehicle stolen. The responding officer prepared a stolen vehicle report, theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime information computers.

Later that morning, while on routine patrol, a Lauderhill Police Department officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the 328i 4-door sedan on their on-board LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC). The officer began tracking the stolen BMW by following the directional and audible cues on the PTC screen. The officer, along with their backup, located the 4-door sedan abandoned in the 3200 block of Sunrise Boulevard. The car was recovered, towed to the police impound yard for safekeeping, and removed from state and federal crime information computer systems.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 BMW 328i in May 2014 at Braman BMW in West Palm Beach, Florida.
