The owners of a 2008 Land Rover Range Rover contacted the Atlanta Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home during the early morning hours.

The Atlanta PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Land Rover.

A short while later officers from the Atlanta PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Land Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Land Rover to an abandoned house in a rural area of the city.

The Land Rover was located by the police in good condition and returned to the owner. A detective was called to the scene to process the vehicle for possible prints.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Land Rover in January 2016 at Land Rover of South Dade in Florida.
