The owners of a 2007 Ford F150 pickup contacted the Dickinson Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the employee parking lot at their place of employment.
The Dickinson PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

A short while later deputies from the Galveston Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Ford to a residential area where the pickup was parked and abandoned in front of a vacant house. The pickup had only minor entry and ignition damage. The owner was notified and the pickup released into his custody.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F150 in April 2007 at Champion Ford Gulf Freeway in Houston, Texas.
