The owners of a 2015 Ford F750 Dump Truck, a rental company, contacted the Roseville Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.
The truck was rented the first week of February and due back within a week. The renter never brought the dump truck back and efforts by the rental company to contact the renter met with negative results.
The Roseville PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford F750.

Just three hours later, deputies from the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the dump truck to an industrial area near Recycle Road and Sunrise Road in the Rancho Cordova area. The dump truck was parked and abandoned in the street.
The victim was contacted and sent a representative to the location who took possession of the dump truck.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F750 in May 2015 by Commercial Sales.
