The owner of a 2011 Honda Crosstour contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of their home in the Southwest area of Baltimore City, Maryland. The Baltimore City PD Radio dispatched an officer from the 8th District to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the subject vehicle. When the officer was unable to locate the Honda, a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Crosstour.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda Crosstour with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Honda to the 2000 block Gwynns Falls Parkway in the Mondawmin area of Baltimore City, Maryland. At that location, detectives observed the Honda parked and unoccupied. Detectives recovered the stolen Honda Crosstour and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Honda Crosstour in January 2011 at Honda of Turnersville in Turnersville, New Jersey.
