The owner of a 1997 Acura Integra contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen from a local mall. The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

Just under thirty minutes after the activation, a Viper detective and K9 sergeant with the LVMPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the K9 sergeant tracked the Acura and located it unoccupied in a residential neighborhood. The Acura was recovered and released back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura Integra in July 1997 at Hillside Acura of Bay Shore, New York.
