The owners of a 2000 Toyota Tundra contacted the Winthrop Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The Winthrop PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later officers for the Saugus, Nahant, Everett and Revere Police Departments picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a residential location in Revere and the vehicle was recovered.

The LoJack ®System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in July 2000 via Direct Sales.
