The owner of a 1997 Honda Accord contacted the Henderson Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen. The Henderson PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within 20 minutes after the activation, officers with the Henderson PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda and found it unoccupied.  The Honda was recovered, processed for evidence and released to the owner at the scene.  The owner advised the officers he “did not know it was equipped with LoJack and was pleasantly surprised at how fast the vehicle was located and returned to him.”

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in July 2001 at Honda West Sonic in Las Vegas, Nevada
