The owners of a Lincoln MKZ contacted the Draper Police Department when they discovered that their vehicle had been stolen from their home. A police officer responded and verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lincoln.

Later officers with the West Valley Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lincoln with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked and located the Lincoln at an apartment house parking lot in the area of 3600 South and 4500 West. Suspects involved in the theft are being sought by the West Valley PD.

The Lincoln was safely recovered and was returned to the very grateful owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lincoln MKZ in June 2011 at the request of the first owner of the Lincoln at Team Ford Lincoln Mercury in Las Vegas, Nevada.
