The owners of a Cadillac Escalade contacted the Orem Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Minutes later troopers with the Utah Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the Cadillac to an apartment parking lot in the area of 1000 North & 100 West in Orem. There the stolen Cadillac was safely recovered before it could be used in another crime, damaged or stripped. It was returned to the very surprised and happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac Escalade in February 2009 at Don Massey Cadillac in Lone Tree, Colorado.
