The owners of a 2005 Hummer H2 SUT contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway of their residence during the day. The Hummer was left unlocked with the keys in the vehicle.

The Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hummer.

Five minutes later, officers and the helicopter from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hummer with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Hummer to a neighborhood south of Roeser Road on 12th Way, in Phoenix.
The Hummer was found unoccupied and parked on the side street. No suspects were observed with or near the Hummer. The Hummer was recovered in good condition and processed for evidence. The Hummer was returned to the owners at the scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hummer H2 in June 2004 at Legends Cadillac in Scottsdale, Arizona.
