The owner of the Mazda 5 parked her car by her office where she normally parks it. When she came back for it at the end of the day she found it missing. This was in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn, confines of the 76 precinct. She immediately called the New York Police Department of the 76 precinct.
When the NYPD officers arrived, they took a written report for the stolen Mazda. This information was then entered by the NYPD in the city, state and federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Mazda.

A short while later the silent signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer by members of the 76 precinct. This was in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, confines of the 76 precinct. The Mazda was parked in a commercial area of Red Hook. The officers staked the Mazda out for a short while, when no one came for it they took it into custody. The Mazda was recovered in good condition with no damage.

The owner was contacted and she was elated that her Mazda was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage on it. She further stated she was extremely happy that when she purchased the Mazda it was equipped with the LoJack® System. Further stating that if it was not for the LoJack® System the Mazda may never have been recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2008 Mazda 5 in November 2008 at Maxon Hyundai Mazda in Union, New Jersey.
