The owners of a 2015 Subaru Outback contacted the Thornton Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. A police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Subaru station wagon.

A short while later officers with the Federal Heights Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Outback with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Subaru to the area of 102nd Avenue and Ura Lane. The Subaru was unoccupied and was recovered in good condition. It was returned to the very happy owners who had purchased LoJack to protect their new vehicle less than a year ago.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Subaru Outback in July 2015 at Mike Shaw Subaru in Denver, Colorado.
