The owners of a 2010 Honda Accord contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 6100 block Parkway Drive in Baltimore City, Maryland. Investigation conducted by the police on the scene found that unknown suspects had gained access to the Honda keys in order to steal the vehicle.

The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Honda to the 5700 block Gilpin Road in Baltimore City. At this location, detectives recovered the parked and unoccupied Honda.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Honda Accord in May 2010 at Honda of Turnersville in New Jersey.
