The owners of a Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up truck contacted the Aurora Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge. Minutes later officers from at least three law enforcement agencies (Colorado State Patrol, Denver Police Department and Auraria Campus Police Department) picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen truck with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Denver PD officers tracked the Dodge to the area of 200 West Colfax Avenue where the vehicle was found unoccupied.

The Dodge was recovered for the safe return to the very surprised and grateful owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Ram in 2002 at AutoNation Chrysler Jeep in Littleton, Colorado.
