The owner of the Audi parked her car by her house where she normally parks it. When she came back for it two days later she found it missing.  It was then that she realized that she apparently dropped her keys when she parked her car.  This was in the St George section of Staten Island, confines of the 120 precinct.  She immediately called the New York Police Department of the 120 precinct.

When the NYPD officers arrived, they took a written report for the stolen Audi Q5, this information was then entered by the NYPD in the city, state and federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Audi.

A short while later the silent signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer by members of the Staten Island Auto Crime Division. This was in the St George section of Staten Island, confines of the 120 precinct. The Audi was apparently being driven through various streets of St George section with the officers still following it without the operator aware that he was being followed. Eventually when they had the opportunity to stop the Audi safely, they did, placing the driver under arrest without incident. The Audi was recovered in good condition with no damage.

The owner was contacted and she was elated that her Audi was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage on it. She further stated that she was extremely happy that when she purchased the Audi that she purchased the LoJack® System with it, saying it was the best investment she made for the recovery of her vehicle.  Further stating that if it wasn’t for the LoJack® System the Audi may never have been recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2013 Audi Q5 in March 2015 at Audi Meadowlands in New Jersey.
