The owners of a 2005 Cadillac Escalade contacted the New Orleans Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen overnight from in front of their home in the Bywater section of the city.
The New Orleans PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Within minutes officers from the New Orleans PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Cadillac to Kenilworth neighborhood.

The Cadillac was located hidden in the rear driveway of an apartment complex. It was recovered in great shape and stored by the police until the owner could be contacted.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac Escalade in January 2005 at Bayview Cadillac in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
