The owners of a 2006 Honda Accord contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen when they went into the corner convenience store for a moment and left the keys in the vehicle.
The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the 5900 block of Van Zandt where the vehicle was parked in the driveway of an abandoned residence. The Honda was processed for prints and the owner notified. The Honda appeared to be in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in June 2006 at Goodson Honda North in Houston, Texas.
