The owner of a 2014 Dodge pickup contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. The owner had her house burglarized and found her Dodge missing from the driveway.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Dodge to an apartment complex in the 5500 block of Reiger Ave, where they found it abandoned.  The steering column was damaged.  Officers are reviewing the apartment’s parking lot video to see if a suspect can be identified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge pickup in December 2013 at Love Field Chrysler in Dallas, Texas.
