The owners of a 2009 Audi A6 contacted the Boston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The Boston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

Minutes later patrol officers from the Boston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Audi to a residential area of Boston and recovered the vehicle.

The LoJack ®System was installed in the Audi A6 in August 2012 at Audi Porsche in Norwell, Massachusetts.
