The owners of a 2005 Ford F250 pickup contacted the San Antonio Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence during the previous night.

The San Antonio PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

Just ten (10) minutes later officers from the San Antonio PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the pickup to a residential area in the 1200 block of Barney Ave. where the pickup was located parked in the yard behind a residence. Two subjects were arrested and charged with felony theft of a vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F250 in May 2006 at Gillespie Ford in San Antonio, Texas.
